Kabul - Afghan civilians were killed back in the hands of the United States-led NATO forces. As a surge of anger over the death of a boy by NATO troops, hundreds of residents took to the streets to protest at City Hesarak, Nangarhar Province.
Mass protest the death of Mohammad Balal, 12-year-old boy, the son of an Afghan army. Balal died on Friday, May 13 pm local time when foreign forces are launching operations.
In the demonstration, two people were killed and six others wounded when security forces opened fire on the demonstrators. Eyewitnesses as reported by Press TV on Saturday (05/14/2011) says, shooting began when officers removed the protesters tried to move toward the governor's office.
Earlier in separate incidents in the same province on Thursday, May 12 last, a 12-year-old girl died after foreign troops threw hand grenades at him.
In recent months, hundreds of Afghan civilians have lost their lives in the U.S. air strikes and ground operations in the et al share the territory in Afghanistan. Afghan President Hamid Karzai has called for foreign troops to not bombard civilians in the war against terrorism.
