Ash clouds Northern European Approach

London - Clouds of ash again disrupt flights most European countries. Abu concentrated due Grimsvotn volcanic eruption in Iceland has now moved towards northern Europe, Scotland. That caused airlines to cancel some flights.

Concerns also arise over a repeat of last year's massive flight disruption in Europe who abandon millions of passengers.

UK Civil Aviation Authority said volcanic ash from Mount Grimsvotn seem to be reaching Scottish airspace on Tuesday, May 24 local time and other regions of England and Ireland a few days later.

As a precaution, the British airline, British Airways (BA) to temporarily stop all flights between London and Scotland for the Tuesday morning local time.

"Following the volcanic ash forecast there will be significant in Scottish airspace, we have decided that as a precaution, we will not operate flights between London and Scotland on Tuesday ... who arrived in Scotland before 2 pm or depart from Scotland before 2 pm , "BA said in a statement.

"Currently all other flights not affected,"said BA as reported by AFP news agency on Tuesday (05/24/2011).

Dutch airline, KLM and Easyjet are also canceled flights to and from Scotland and Northern England at the same time. While the Australian airline, Qantas said there was no flight that departed from and to Europe were disrupted by the volcanic ash.

According to the European authorities, flight disruption will not be as severe this time last year when the volcano erupted in Iceland Eyjafjallajokull. Because the current system and procedures have been much improved compared to the time and is currently estimated ash cloud would not move to the entire continent of Europe. But the pilots union of Europe remains concerned about the danger of this cloud of ash.
