SYDNEY, Tekertin.com - Latest Motorboats carrying asylum seekers who arrive in Australia will be sent to another country for processing, the government said on Saturday when it is implementing a controversial new policy. Imgrasi Minister Chris Bowen did not say where the 32 new asylum seekers who arrive in Australian waters will be sent Friday night. However, he admitted talah Australia signed an agreement with Malaysia regarding the handling of boat people. "They will be sent to a third country in accordance with the regulations-regional regulations when they enter our territory," said Bowen told reporters.
Last week Australia announced the changes in immigration policy that aims to stop the people who smuggled and block boats carrying asylum seekers to the beach. Under the new regulation, Australia will send 800 asylum seekers to Malaysia for processing and vice versa Canberra agreed to accept 4,000 people who have dinlai as refugees from Malaysia to be resettled for four years. Australia also are conducting negotiations with tetanganya in northern Papua New Guinea on the opening of an immigration processing center, but no agreement was reached.
Bowen warned that anyone who arrived in Australia with motor boat ride can no longer be processed in Australia. "We will not accept and process people seeking asylum who arrive in Australia by boat," he added.
The last asylum seekers who come will be brought into the territory Christmas Island, Indian Ocean, where the boat people are usually detained until their claims can be assessed, and provide basic biometric before being taken to another country.
He said Australia, which holds more than 7800 boat people who arrived in its waters since the beginning of 2010, is trying to create a single regional solution to the problem of people smuggling. "My message to people smugglers and asylum seekers is very clear - do not come by boat," he said.
"Regulations, this rule can not be circumvented. No matter whether you are from Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Iran, Iraq or other countries," he added.
"Australia does not process the people who arrive in Australia by boat," he added.
Australia's new policy was criticized. Amnesty International said Friday it is a policy that is not legitimate, not manusiwi and not economical. "People have a legitimate right to seek asylum and the number of those who entered Australia on a low," said group spokeswoman Claire Mallinson.
