CIA Act U.S. Senator For Viewing Photos Osama bin Laden's body
Washington - The White House refused to release photographs of the bodies of Osama bin Laden to the public. But United States intelligence agencies, the CIA had told the two U.S. Senate committees that their members can see pictures of the bodies of al-Qaeda leader.
Said an aide to the U.S. Congress as reported by the Reuters news agency on Wednesday (05/11/2011).
He said, the CIA invited the Senators from the Senate Intelligence Committee and Senate Armed Services Committee to come to CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia to see the photos.
Last week the White House said not to release pictures of the bodies of Osama who was killed in the raid U.S. special forces in Pakistan. President Barack Obama refused to release those photos to the public the reasons can provoke violence and can be used by Al Qaeda as a propaganda tool. White House spokesman Jay Carney called the photos "horrific".
A senior U.S. official told FOX television station last week, Osama photographs show a gaping gunshot wound in the forehead wide terror leaders to show some of his brain.
