Manchester - Rio Ferdinand was very disappointed over the defeat of Manchester United from Barcelona in the Champions League final 2009. He considers that face Barca at the Stadio Olimpico is not a true MU.
MU in the underdog position when you meet Barca in the final edition of 2009. However, beyond a doubt Barca was the one who became champions after winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi.
The defeat was apparently so disappointing Ferdinand. I was so disappointed, this 32-year-back to the point that dared not watch the match record in Rome.
"I never watch (the final) 2009 again. But, games like that hard to forget. It seems very clear in your head," said Ferdinand, as reported by SkySports.
"If you want to sit down and think about the game like that, it will come easily. It's like bringing something to the internet," he added.
"I've been repeating it in my head several times and we never play. We are not Manchester United," Ferdinand straightforward.
"On the way home (of Rome), we sat down and thought 'if we go to the field and become a real Manchester United, the result will be different'," beber former West Ham player this.
"They always say you do not want to leave the pitch with regrets. That night, there are a lot of regrets," he said.
"Today, we will provide a better," lid Ferdinand.
