Neonatal Respiratory Distress Syndrome (NRDS) is the most common complication seen in premature babies. These conditions make it difficult to breathe baby.
Symptoms
Symptoms usually appear within minutes of birth. Symptoms include:
* Skin color is blue
* Apnea
* decreased urine
* Snorts
* Arm or leg swelling
* Respiratory short
* Shortness of breath and grunting sounds while breathing
Treatment
Babies born prematurely at high risk of this syndrome. For that purpose, require immediate medical attention.
