The HI-Matic Hotel in Paris, designed by Matali Crasset, greets the travellers with a colourful mix of bold design and eco-friendly service. This hotel strives to be a new type of travel-friendly concept, “mixing codes of an urban hotel and country side bed and breakfast, with strong ecological values.” Each of the 42 rooms of the hotel offer a discrete and functional space that cares for any need: “the room in HIMATIC uses the codes of a cabana: functional yet fun, triggering childhood memories. The platform bed with a shape memory mattress is in the centre of the room to maximize its space using it as a large sofa during the day and in the evening enjoying a good night’s sleep.”The facade is covered in mineral organic paint, the restaurant menu includes only organic products, they only use recycled paper and recycle waste, they use ecological cleaning products and even the staff’s t-shirts are made out of organic cotton. Besides being fully automated, the hotel located in the Bastille area is also environmentally friendly. Next time you visit Paris, you should check out the HI-MATIC Hotel.
