MILAN, Tekertin.com - AC Milan's veteran striker, Filippo Inzaghi, says it wants to end his career at the San Siro. Therefore, he hoped Milan could extend his contract, which will expire the end of this season.
After a long absence due to ligament injury, 37-year-old striker began to return to defend Milan when host Cagliari on Sunday (05/15/2011). He received overwhelming response despite only appearing during the last ten minutes, in a match that Milan won 4-1.
"I want to end my career at Milan. I have to thank the coaches, the club, my colleagues, and supporters who make me feel like a football player again tonight," said Inzaghi told Sky Sport.
"I saw something unique and fascinating when thousands of supporters gathered in Piazza Duomo Milan's Scudetto celebration. I wish I could survive for one more season because of something embarrassing split after forming an emotional relationship beautifully," he said.
Inzaghi joined Milan from Juventus in 2001. He has scored over 120 goals in all competitions with Milan
